Contact

The fastest way to reach us is email. There is no contact form, because a form would need somewhere to send the data and somewhere to store it, and this site deliberately has neither.

Email

hello@1099-taxcalculator.com

Plain text is ideal. If you need to send a screenshot or an illustrative example, an image is fine — but please do not send anything sensitive. If a screenshot contains your real income or your own tax details, crop or redact it first, or just describe the numbers.

What to include

Most reports are one click from being actionable if they include these four things:

  1. The page URL. The address bar tells us the exact role, state and tax year you were looking at.
  2. What you expected and what you saw instead. The expected figure and its source are the most useful part of the message.
  3. Where the figure came from. A link to the revenue department notice, the IRS revenue procedure or the form is worth more than a description of it.
  4. The tax year it applies to. The site currently shows figures for tax year2026.

State rate corrections

These are the most welcome reports of all. The 51 state income tax rates are the one part of the dataset that is entered by hand and cannot be verified automatically, so a report that a state has changed its rate is directly useful. Where the change can be confirmed against the state's own published source, it gets applied and the site says so.

Please include the source. A revenue department notice or the state's tax rate table is enough, and it means a correction can be trusted rather than guessed at.

What we cannot help with

This site is a calculator, not an adviser, so there are limits on what an email can achieve:

  • We cannot tell you what you owe. That depends on your full circumstances and is a conversation with a tax professional.
  • We cannot see your figures. Your inputs never leave your browser, so there is nothing stored for us to look at. Include the numbers you want to discuss in the message itself.
  • We cannot file anything or send anything to the IRS on your behalf. This site has no connection to the IRS beyond linking to its public pages.
  • There is no account to recover. The site has no logins, so there is no password to reset and no saved history.

What to expect

This is a small site run by one person, with no support queue and no guaranteed response time. Replies are best effort. If a message is a genuine bug or a wrong published figure, that is the kind most likely to get acted on.
